Arteries hold endless flow of particles, creating an intricate and beautiful magnificence of the internal naturalness of a yet-bloomed passage. Let in not vanish with dark liquid succumbing every juice of fresh instinct and triumphant madness. Memories coat the organ with soft powder of truth with a mixture of generous liquefied balm.

Last two days, as I was busy thinking about what to give to our speakers for our class, I happened to pass by the Magis Student Complex also busy having somewhat a showcase of international icons.

I noticed a man very familiar to me. He was selling some books and as usual books always get my attention. Two years ago, when I was still part of The Crusader Publication, (the official student publication of Xavier University) I’d placed it in my heart that my job, whether assigned or not, was to document important events. One time, I decided to go home instead of staying at school not because I had nothing to do but I really wanted to rest and take a break.

I accidentally passed by an event and got curious about it. I naturally felt the need to get my camera. I went home to get it then I immediately returned to school. Using my ‘power’ or rather privilege to enter into whatever event the school has, I pushed myself to enter the doors of the place. That was the time that I felt blank. I felt like a stranger.

As I was looking around, almost all of the people were Muslims. I have nothing against them, I have many Muslim friends and I love them. But that was the time when I felt like, “am I even allowed to enter here?”. I thought the talk would be sacred and serious but I was wrong.

It was a talk hosted by foreigners. They talked about their faith (Islam) and some lessons in life. I was wrong. That time, I did not feel strange anymore. They talked as if we were the same; we have the same religion, same views.

So that man selling books was one of the hosts of that event. I was interested with the ‘Taqwa’ book and asked him the price. I was shocked when he told me it was just only for 25 pesos. I asked him over and over again to make him say one hundred twenty-five (125) but then he said 25 again. He even introduced me to another book, which is the ‘Belief and Man’ and related it to lechon and Globe. I was surprised. His open-mindedness still remained, that’s why I really adore him. He even offered those two books for only 50 pesos with free pen. I bought them immediately without second thoughts. I only got the exact amount in my pocket to pay for the books so I got broke after I had to walk home.

I am open when it comes to different religious beliefs and views. That is why I love reading about Islam, Buddhism, Catholicism, and many other religions. I have the same respect and love for my brothers and sisters. I believe that every religion is the same as another. We all worship one God.
